When staying at hotels..

I think i do funny things whenever i sleep in hotels, or chalets, even in Singapore.

Normally i knocked on the door, open it, and informed whoever is inside, if there is, normally there is lah, seldom dont have, unless the spirit evacuated itself before i go, very zi dong, i like. HAA. But rare too. Most will still want to stay in when i am out of the hotel room. I know because i can see.

Anyway back to the point, i step aside a little for awhile, to wait for the spirit to be out – Most spirits complained that humans like to block them after knocking, its just like when you try go out of the train in the morning and people just want to board. I have friends asking me how long is my definition of “awhile”. Aiya.. some seconds will do. I know its weird.

Then your shoes should be faced outside, as in most of us left our shoes facing inside, well if you get what i mean.. Its to ‘tell’ the spirit that we are still using it. Actually for this point.. i think its like that.. i cant remember. Learned it from Uncle C years ago. Oh yes! He gives talks in Mandarin every 1st Sat of the month i think… You can learn alot, well, i learn. Its $10 per person and most people will buy food over there to share as there is a break. Except me… =x I’ve never bought before.. whenever i go on random times and if my assignments allowed me too.

Why am i always sidetracked…

And third point, this is also what i told most people, because its the easiest for me to tell people – 1) it can give you a good sleep. 2) it can chase away all the lizards, ants, cockroaches. 3) It keeps spirits away. The only downside is, you gotta spray everytime when you are back to the hotel, the smell will disperse after awhile. So, you mix peppermint & sandalwood essential oil with water in a spray bottle and spray around your room.

EASY ISNT IT??

To some of the ultra timid girl friends, normally i tell them its to chase away the cockroaches rather than the spirits. And i do ‘loan’ my talismans sometimes, to friends. Actually, i have many. Where my relatives / friends / random people / my dad in the past when he travels, gave it to me when they got it from other temples overseas. Some has ‘power’, some doesnt. I kept the ones that has and give it away to people who needs it more. And now i left only one to loan. Although now i know who can give good talismans, (haha). I havent seen him for a very long time.

PS: I’m not very sure where you can buy the essential oil locally, but my friend said iherb.com has really cheap ones. 🙂
